General & Getting Started

Who is CoCreate Construction?

CoCreate Construction is a premium remodeler and general contractor in Colorado Springs, led by owner Brad Ward. With 25+ years of experience and a Purdue building construction degree, CoCreate builds additions, decks, siding, roofing, and more across the Front Range, backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty.

What areas does CoCreate serve?

CoCreate serves Colorado Springs and the surrounding El Paso County and Front Range, including Monument, Falcon, Black Forest, Peyton, Fountain, Manitou Springs, and Woodland Park. If you are not sure whether you are in our area, call (719) 644-2508 and we will tell you straight.

Is CoCreate Construction licensed and insured?

Yes. CoCreate holds a Class A-2 builder license and carries $2 million in general liability insurance, and it holds a BBB A+ rating and a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite badge. That combination protects you and reflects a track record most young companies cannot show.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. Every CoCreate project is backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty, on top of any manufacturer warranties on the materials installed. Most builders in the Colorado Springs area offer only one or two years, so this is a core part of the value we deliver.

Do you charge for estimates?

No. CoCreate provides free consultations and free, detailed estimates. We visit your home, take photos and measurements, and follow up with a written estimate. For larger projects we also provide design renderings so you can see the finished result before you commit.

Do you really offer free design renderings?

Yes, on larger projects. CoCreate works with an architect to create a rendering of your project so you can see what you are getting before signing anything, even if you decide not to move forward. It removes the guesswork and makes sure expectations match reality.

How do I get started on a project?

Call (719) 644-2508 or request a consultation online. We will discuss your vision, budget, and timeline, then visit your home to take photos and measurements. You will get a free, detailed estimate, and design renderings for larger projects, before any work begins.

What are your business hours?

CoCreate Construction is available Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:30pm Colorado time. You can call (719) 644-2508 during those hours, or request a consultation online anytime and we will follow up within one business day.

Services & Materials

What services does CoCreate offer?

CoCreate builds home additions, decks, patio covers, siding, stucco, windows and doors, and roofing, plus commercial tenant improvements. We handle everything from a single deck to a full second-story addition, all across Colorado Springs and the Front Range.

What decking materials do you use?

CoCreate builds with TimberTech and Armadillo composite decking for a low-maintenance, long-lasting result, and we also build natural wood decks. Composite costs more up front but resists Colorado's UV, moisture, and freeze-thaw with almost no maintenance, which is why many homeowners choose it.

What siding do you install?

CoCreate installs James Hardie fiber-cement siding, the standard for durability in Colorado. It resists fire, hail, rot, and pests and holds paint far longer than wood or vinyl. We also install and repair cement-based stucco for a classic Colorado look.

What windows and doors do you install?

CoCreate installs energy-efficient windows and doors from Pella and Anlin, including replacement and new-construction windows and entry, patio, and French doors. A proper, weather-tight installation cuts drafts and energy bills, which matters at Colorado's altitude with its big temperature swings.

What roofing do you install?

CoCreate installs Owens Corning roofing systems, including impact-resistant Class 4 shingles that stand up better to Colorado hail and may lower your insurance premium. We handle full replacements and repairs and guide you through the insurance claim process after storm damage.

Do you do both residential and commercial work?

Yes. Alongside residential remodeling, CoCreate handles commercial tenant improvements and build-outs for retail, office, and restaurant spaces. We keep the schedule tight and the site clean so you can keep operating while we work.

Do you take on small jobs?

It depends on the project. CoCreate focuses on larger remodeling work like additions, decks, siding, and roofing. For very small jobs we may refer you to a trusted contractor who specializes in that work, so you still get pointed in the right direction.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. CoCreate handles permits and inspections for you. In most of our service area that means the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, while Woodland Park goes through Teller County. We manage the process so your project stays fully compliant from start to finish.

Cost & Process

How much does a project cost?

Every project is different, so CoCreate quotes each one after seeing it in person. Cost depends on size, materials, site conditions, and finishes. We provide a free, detailed estimate, and design renderings for larger projects, so you know exactly what you are getting before you commit.

Why don't you give prices over the phone?

Construction has too many variables to quote accurately over the phone, and a wrong number helps no one. Instead, CoCreate visits your home, takes measurements and photos, and gives you a real, detailed estimate. That is also why we offer estimates and renderings for free.

What is your process from start to finish?

CoCreate follows four steps: a free consultation to understand your vision and budget, a clear design and plan with fixed expectations, the build with proven materials and steady communication, and a final walkthrough backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty. No surprises along the way.

How long will my project take?

It depends on scope. A deck or siding job often takes one to two weeks, while a full addition can take a few months. CoCreate gives you a realistic timeline up front and aims to be on site within 60 days of a signed contract.

Do you offer financing?

CoCreate does not currently offer third-party financing. Most of our clients pay directly, and we keep our focus on quality work and honest pricing. If financing is important to your project, let us know and we can talk through your options.

How soon can you start?

CoCreate aims to be on site within 60 days of a signed contract, and often sooner depending on the season and current schedule. Reach out early, especially for spring and summer projects, since those are the busiest times in Colorado.

Service Area & Local

Do you serve Colorado Springs?

Yes. Colorado Springs is CoCreate's home base. We work on homes of every era and style across the city, from the Old North End to Briargate, Powers, and the Broadmoor area, and we permit through the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department.

Do you work in Monument, Black Forest, and Falcon?

Yes. CoCreate serves Monument, Black Forest, Falcon, and the rest of El Paso County. We adjust for each area, from Monument's higher-elevation snow to Black Forest's fire-aware materials and Falcon's wind exposure, so the work fits the local conditions.

Do you serve Woodland Park?

Yes. CoCreate serves Woodland Park up Ute Pass. At about 8,500 feet, homes there need decks and roofs engineered for heavy mountain snow. Woodland Park is in Teller County, so we handle permitting through the City of Woodland Park and Teller County rather than PPRBD.

Do you build for Colorado's climate?

Yes. CoCreate builds for Colorado's realities: Hail Alley storms, intense high-altitude UV, heavy snow, and constant freeze-thaw cycles. We set proper footings, use corrosion-resistant hardware, and recommend impact-resistant and low-maintenance materials so your project lasts in this demanding climate.

Who handles permits in the Colorado Springs area?

Most of CoCreate's service area is permitted through the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department (PPRBD), which covers Colorado Springs and El Paso County. Woodland Park is the exception, going through Teller County. Either way, CoCreate manages the permits and inspections for you.

Do you work in Manitou Springs' historic district?

Yes. CoCreate remodels Manitou Springs homes with care for their historic character. Work in the historic district may require historic preservation review, and we help you navigate it. Manitou's steep lots also call for careful structural planning, which we handle.
